The party was exactly as I had imagined and all aspects were great - the food went down very well (especially the lamb) - and the organisation of the buffet / service in general was brilliant. Special thanks to Jean for your good advice in preparation for the night (and help during the evening), plus your team, especially Isaac - the evening went very smoothly and many of the guests commented on the excellent service and food; in fact I think one of my friends has now made a booking for an upcoming event! | Hi Dave I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the team for my birthday dinner last weekend. I had the most wonderful evening, as did my friends. And I owe you the hugest thank you for ensuring that everything went so smoothly. You looked after us so well, and I really appreciated your kindness in sorting out the presents and ensuring everyone had a glass of champagne as they came in. The food was consistently excellent (big thank you to the chef), and the service really outstanding. I'm sorry that we kept you up so late - I had rather lost track of the time! Nonetheless, I got home in one piece with the most ridiculous stash of presents. The first floor is my favourite restaurant anyway, but you excelled yourselves. | Hi I wanted you to convey my thanks to your team for looking after me and my party on saturday 13th april. The setting was as expected beautiful in the banqueting room, but the highlight was how we were looked after and the quality of the food. Thanks to David for helping me organise and answer my many questions and in particular of noting my feedback on a previous meal I had about the food I ate which was not entirely hot. By the time I tucked into my duck after everyone else was served it was piping hot. My guests enjoyed the evening and many have said they will return. One commented they wanted there 70th there but were worried they wouldnt make it up the stairs! Thanks also to the french head waiter for keeping his eye on us and my brother Jeremy. | Dear Everybody, especially our charming waitress and the Chef Thank you all so much for making this occasion happy and memorable. Everybody loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. | We had a lunch today in the top dining room today for a large party from Strutt & Parker. The reason for this email is to tell you that John (our French waiter) who looked after the whole lunch was absolutely fab. We are a pretty serious service company and have a big team in London who deal with our customers, so we are pretty good judges of what GOOD feels like. John was just great in every respect, charming, attentive, and just completely made our lovely lunch. Please give him our special thanks, we really enjoyed today especially because of him. We received so many compliments throughout the week - everyone had an utterly incredible afternoon. This party would have never been the same anywhere else in London (and beyond, for that matter :). I was so glad to see all the lovely charm of the place and the great food that I first fell in love with so long ago. This restruant has always been one of my top 5 despite eating in the worlds best restraunts regularly. My name is Harriet Ovola, I hired your Banqueting Room last year in November for a dinner with family and friends to celebrate my 21st Birthday. I thought I would just take the time to commend your staff for being soo helpful and welcoming from the very first viewing right through to the actual dinner. The room was lovely and most people hadn’t been so thought it was wonderful. A few of the younger ones have been to the bar but had no idea about the rooms upstairs. | Just wanted to give some complimentary feedback after dining last night (Thurs 11/11). My meal was sensational. I had the Mushroom Fricasse & Brioche for my entree and the Chicken for the main. While both were superb, special mention must be made on the mushroom entree - absolutely amazing! The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was unpretentious and warm. The timing of our meal was perfect also, there is nothing more annoying than being rushed between entrees and mains! I thought the wine list catered to both those who could spend a little more or wanted to spend a little less on their wines. We had what I would consider fairly cheap bottles and both were very good. I can't wait to return and I will be singing the praises of last nights meal to friends/work colleagues etc. We only had two courses last night, but I will definitely go for 3 next time. Please pass this on to all staff. I think its important to hear both positive and negative feedback - unfortunately most people only take the time to give negative. | Dear Antony, - Just writing to say that we had a really wonderful time at the First Floor Dining Rooms last Thursday. It was the perfect place to celebrate our engagement. It was decorated beautifully and the service was great. The lady behind the bar was extremely efficient and made sure new comers received a glass of champagne within seconds of walking in. Everyone was extremely impressed and I am sure it will become a popular venue for other such events amongst our friends. | Hi Anthony, First, thank you again for the delicious Christmas dinner you arranged for us last night. The food, atmosphere and the service were wonderful. Glyn managed to provide a seamless supply of dishes to all the right people at the right moment in spite of us muddling him up by changing places twice! He was good humoured and charming throughout. Being one of the vegetarians, I opted for the mushroom risotto which was absolutely superb. All the other dishes were too, according to the guests who want me to book you for next Christmas already! | Had a mate's birthday dinner there last Saturday night and I'm compelled to write my first review ever. The whole night was fantastic. There were 10 of us and we reserved the inner banquet room on the second floor, there's a second room with a huge table that was already booked. Our room was set-up beautifully - massive candles everywhere, cool furniture and the table was great. Service and the food were both outstanding - had the scallops, sea bass and apple tart. We had the £30 fix priced menu and despite having a good amount of wine, the whole thing came to £55 per person. Will definitely book this place for future events and will look like a star for it.
